SUSTAINABILITY IS SEXY.
We value conscious purchasing decisions just as much as you do. We keep our standards high to ensure that every
Saltwater Collective garment is made with great care and intention, always with our Earth in mind.
WHAT WE'RE DOING
Each year, 8 million tons of plastic is being dumped into our planet’s oceans.
If we don't curb our consumption, scientists predict that plastic will outweigh fish in the sea by 2050.
CLEANER OCEANS ARE FASHION FORWARD
This is why each Saltwater swimsuit is made from abandoned fishing nets, plastic scraps, and nylon waste from landfills.
We use a Regeneration System, known as ECONYL®.
We start with rescuing waste, like fishing nets, fabric scraps, carpet flooring and industrial plastic from landfills and oceans all over the world.
That waste is then sorted and cleaned to recover nylon.
We create our product using the nylon waste, which has been recycled back to its original purity,
meaning the final product is equivalent to virgin nylon.
The nylon is able to be recycled infinitely, without ever losing its quality.
Voila! We’ve created a product which can be infinitely regenerated and reused
with no waste produced, while maintaining quality and style.
